Chloé Cancel-Adjovi is a lawyer at the Benin Bar. She advises and litigates in all areas of business law in the OHADA and UEMOA zones.

Experience
Admitted to the Hauts-de-Seine Bar (France) in 2010, Chloé Cancel-Adjovi worked for 5 years as a litigation and arbitration lawyer with the business law firm CMS Francis Lefebvre. Her practice focuses on general business law. She advises French and foreign companies on their legal strategy, assists them in their negotiations and defends them before the French courts.
In 2015, she joined the Franco-Belgian bank Dexia Crédit Local, where she worked for three years as a litigation and asset restructuring lawyer. In particular, she was in charge of mass litigation relating to the
“toxic loans” of French local authorities and negotiations with local authorities. She also assists the bank with asset liquidation operations.
In 2018, she moved to Benin, where she set up CCA Conseil, a company specialising in providing legal advice to businesses. She advises and meets the legal needs of Beninese and foreign companies on
drafting contracts, auditing, setting up and restructuring companies, etc. It is involved in the restructuring of several banks and micro-finance companies. It provides training in the sub-region in negotiation, debt recovery and procedures. She also participates in expert groups on several projects financed by international donors.
In May 2023, she was admitted to the Benin Bar and practises general business law.
