Johanna has extensive experience in Africa-related matters, having represented numerous DFIs in their investments in Africa and always being between Nigeria which is a great representative of Anglophone Africa and Cameroon which represents well Francophone Africa and Africa as a whole.
She also advises international clients on the acquisition or financing of companies based in Africa. She has extensive experience working on private equity, private mergers and acquisitions and venture capital transactions in Africa and has acquired a thorough knowledge of most African legal systems.
Johanna is also involved in a number of initiatives for the evolution of the practice of law in Africa, as well as for the improvement of the regulatory framework.

Prior to co-founding Epena Law, Johanna worked as a Managing Associate at Linklaters, Senior Associate at DLA Piper in London, and before that at King & Wood Mallesons in Paris and Arendt & Medernach in Luxembourg as an Associate.

Johanna holds and Executive MBA from London Business School, a LL.M. in Business Law from UCLA school of law (California), and a Master’s degree in business law from Paris Ouest University.
